Take the Eurostar from London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet or Ashford to Calais and then Paris, and then the TGV to Angoulême or Montmoreau.  This takes about 5 to 7 hours and can be made as a single booking.

CAR HIRE

We live in rural France - local public transport is extremely limited and consequently we advise that a car is ESSENTIAL. You can book your car hire in advance from the airports and train stations â€“ we recommend family run Buggs Car Hire at Bergerac or Limoges Airports, or try Avis, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz etc. from other locations.
